|Q167FDG on The 'Shaun the Sheep' 'Lamb Rover'! (Front)
Built in 2007 from a (1995 Q-Registered!?) Land Rover Series I, this is a scaled-up real life-size version of the Land Rover used by the Farmer and his sheep dog, Bitzer in Aardman Animations' tv series 'Shaun the Sheep'. (Shaun the Sheep first found fame in Wallace and Gromit's 'A Close Shave'.)
The model Land Rover from the series was created in 8 days from photos of various Land Rover Series vehicles!
This life-size version was created by Land Rover from scratch to be an exact match of the model one made in the series and took 7 weeks to complete.
It is based on a 1951 Series I 80" chassis (to get the length right), but with the panels and parts used being a mix of several different Land Rovers.
It has modified Series 2 front wings, and bonnet and has Series 3 doors.
It is fitted with a modified 2007 Defender bulkhead, modified 90" rear tub, and 90" truck cab, plus a custom windscreen.
Fully road legal, what sheep wouldn't want to have a ride in it!?
